We're buying a truck!

We've been thinking a lot lately of buying a truck. For the last few years, Jeff has been driving the very first car I ever bought. And let's just say it's not in the best shape ever. I mean, it gets him to where he needs to go, but we're not sure for how much longer. So this past weekend, he's been talking to a guy down in Florida about buying this particular truck. And so, I believe as of today, it's ours. At the end of the month we are going to be flying down to Florida to pick it up. And I'm excited about it except I think on the way back we may be driving through Kansas. Anybody seen the Wizard of Oz? Tornados? Refer to the previous post if you are unsure of what I'm talking about.

Congratulations!!! Both my brother and my dad have purchased vehicles from the states this year. Both are very happy they did too.

Plus, a bonus road trip? That's awesome. No worries about Kansas. Remember the movie "Twister"? I think their truck held up alright. I think...

Nice ride! Devin's parents just bought a car from the US and his brother bought a camper from there too. Sweet deals!
Not to freak you out about Kansas, but Devin was on a mission trip there in February with a bunch of guys from our church. Check out my blog if you haven't seen it. (The town is rebuilding due to a tornado). But you'll be fine...it's a big, tough truck!!

Thanks guys! Jeff told me that the truck they drove in twister was a dodge, so you're right, we should be fine. At least, I'll tell myself that.

I told Jeff I would drive through Kansas, really really fast!

I'm gonna check out your blog right now Sonya.

Okay Sonya, just came back from checking out the tornado before and after pictures. Must say, a little freaked! It's absolutely incredible the strength of a tornado. And how more people weren't hurt in the whole disaster really shows the grace of God!

Yes, I'm sure the brand of truck makes a HUGE difference. lol

It really does you know! You'll be thankful you're driving a dodge now. lol

We have no brand loyalty. We could have just as easily bought any other pretty little van!

I know you don't. I was teasing.

I own a rusty Tercel!

Ange said...

There's nothing wrong with rusty! As long as it gets you to where you need to go, that's the important thing.

Oh no, you were very serious. I can tell by the tone of your font. lol.

Look at how many comments Angela gets on her posts! Man, I have to start writing better, the "competition" is getting thick.

When you write half the comments yourself, they tend to add up quickly! See here's number 13

Ange HAS always been her own biggest fan. You should see the shrine to herself she made in her house. She doesn't even hang pictures of her kids. lol.

wow, it looks heavy duty...are you taking the kids for that loooooong drive??

Ange said...

No, the kids won't be coming with us. I can't even imagine. When we get back we are going to Moose Jaw for a family reunion. That will be long enough. Sometimes the trip to Austin is too long for Aaron.
