Smiles for mommy!

It happened! Yesterday I got up with Ethan in the morning. Part of me wanted to stay in bed and let Jeff get up with him, but I thought I would be nice and let him sleep in a bit. Did I make the right decision or what! I was sitting on our couch holding Ethan after I finished feeding him and I looked down at him and he smiled at me! I know, some may think that it's not big deal, that I've already got 2 other kids that surely gave me their first smile, but the thing is, they didn't. Jamin smiled for my mom first and Aaron smiled for his daddy first, which is okay, I've just never got the first smile. It finally happened. My precious baby boy gave me his first smile. And what a big beautiful smile it was! So for me this is a big deal!

Now if only I could get him to do it again!

Good news and bad news

The good news is that Ethan has slept between 7 and 8 hours in a row the past 2 nights. I'm so thankful for that.

The bad news is that we've all had colds for the past week or so, my older kids have been waking up through the night, and we've now discovered that Aaron has a sinus infection. My poor little man. I'm just hoping he feels better soon.
