The invisible woman

Somedays I feel like I'm invisible. Like if I were to fall off the face of the earth, nobody would notice. I'm pretty sure that's not the case, but I can't help but feel that way sometimes.

I have a good life. I have a husband who loves me and the best little boys ever. But it gets lonely. I'm home all day with my children and somedays I don't talk to anyone but them. I don't always know where I fit in. People are busy and sometimes I feel forgotten about. I need to make my way out in this world. Meet people, talk to people, but I have no idea how.

Don't get me wrong, I love being able to stay at home with my boys. I made that choice and I don't regret it, not for a second. I believe it's exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. It's just not always easy.

I would miss you, and I barely know you!

i know my cousin went to the Alliance church once a week in the mornings for the Coffee Break/Women's Bible study, I think they have babysitting too. She didn't attend church there, just for a weekly 'break'. I don't know if they still do it.

Also, maybe with your boys getting into school, its a chance to meet other Mom's?? ?? I can't help but think a church group is an 'easier' place to start. just ideas.

I think EVERY stay home mom feels this way sometimes. Everyone goes out and about into the world every day, has coffee breaks and chats with co-workers, makes friends on said coffee breaks.

Lyla's right, church groups would be a good idea, even if it's not your Sunday morning church.

If you're ever lonely you can always give me a call too! I spend many many days at home with my little "angels" as well. :)

That's the downside of staying home all the time - some adult conversation would be nice!! I feel the same way at times. I feel like blogging helps me "stay in touch" to some degree - although it's not the same as an actual conversation! I have a group of friends from church - we email each other every few days or so. So have had many conversations about potty training, tantrums, how our renos are going or anything else that's on our minds. I think it's definately helped me feel less isolated - living in the sticks and all. ;) We also go for coffee every month or so. A women's bible study is a great idea! You get adult interaction, babysitting and best of all you grow in your faith. However, just jumping into something like that, especially at a church that's not your own can be intimidating! Could you find a friend to go with you or join a group where there's someone else you know? Or we could always go for coffee!
